Our Story

The story of SMART ENGINEERING, LLC began in Yerevan with a simple yet ambitious question: “What happens if we apply engineering precision to the art of hospitality?” We saw that catering often suffers from a lack of systemic approach and set out to fix it. Our foundation wasn’t just recipes, but carefully crafted algorithms: from ideal temperature control during transportation to mathematically precise aesthetics on the plate.

We began as a small team of enthusiasts passionate about gastronomy and order. Today, SMART ENGINEERING is a technology-driven company that designs events of all sizes. We’ve evolved from our first private dinners to catering for major international forums, maintaining our core principle: each project is a unique “object” requiring individual design. We continue to explore new flavors and technologies to continually prove that when taste engineers take on the task, the results exceed expectations.

Our Cuisine

We utilize the riches of the Armenian land—from Sevan trout to mountain herbs and spices—but reinterpret them through the lens of modern techniques: sous-vide, fermentation, and molecular aesthetics. This allows us to create dishes that are recognizable in flavor but surprising in texture and presentation.

We call our kitchen “smart” because we use high-tech equipment, even for off-site events. This ensures that steaks are perfectly cooked and desserts retain their texture, no matter where you are in Yerevan or beyond. For us, there’s no compromise between the scale of the event and the quality of the dish.

We don’t limit ourselves to standardized concepts. Our team is constantly experimenting, creating seasonal menus and signature sets tailored to the specific concept of your event. Each menu is a bespoke project, taking into account everything from guests’ dietary preferences to the cultural context of the event.
